Great Backyard Bird Count

February 18 – 9:00 AM – Plirding at Historic Bethabara Park – meet in the parking lot behind Bethabara Moravian Church, we will look for birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count, then pick up litter along the trail. Bring binoculars, wear shoes that can get wet, bring used plastic bags, gloves. RSVP to by February 17th.

February 18 – 4:00 PM – Book Club Birding While Indian: A Half-Blood Memoir by Thomas C. Gannon. Visit the Forsyth Audubon page at Bookmarks to receive a 20% discount on this title

February 24 – 9:30 AM – Young Birders Outing – Yadkin Memorial Park – Meet at Lake Hampton, Yadkin Memorial Park 1142 Crystal Lane, Yadkinville, NC. This is an outing especially designed for our young birders. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

February 26
-9:00 AM – Bird Outing at Bethabara – meet outing leader Ann Newsome at the Bethabara Visitor Center parking lot and look for birds along the lower trails at Bethabara.

February 27 – 7:00 PM – Chapter Meeting – Our program speaker Ken Bridle will talk about native plants. Social time starts at 6:30 and the program begins at 7. We meet at the Highland Presbyterian Church Activity Building 2381 Cloverdale Avenue
