Triad Park

Triad Park is a joint venture of Forsyth and Guilford Counties. Located on 426 acres near the county line between Kernersville and Colfax, the park features natural areas of rolling woodland hills, natural creek bottoms and open meadows…a wide variety of bird habitat.

Forsyth Audubon volunteers have monitored a nest box trail at the park, contributing to the hardy population of cavity nesters such as bluebirds, chickadees, titmice, wrens and nuthatches. All seven local species of woodpeckers have been spotted along the woodland trails. Wild Turkey have been seen, and Red-shouldered Hawks are regular nesters. In addition to several woodland trails, the park features picnic shelters, playground facilities, rest rooms and miles of walking and biking paths.
