Monthly Chapter Meeting

Please join us for our chapter meeting in May. Our speak is Dr. Denesha Carley, Professor of Horticulture at North Carolina State University. Dr. Carley specializes in Sustainability in Urban Environments. She is an advocate of native plants for pollinators and has consulted on golf course projects transitioning to native grass “roughs”. She has much to share with us on how we can all foster healthier habitat around us.

The May chapter meeting also serves as Forsyth Audubon’s Annual Meeting for fiscal year 2025-2026. Our Nominating Committee, led by Carol Gearhart, will recommend next year’s Board of Director Officers. Members will be asked to vote to approve the Board Directors, as well as updates to our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. Board members will be available during during the meeting social time (6:30 to 7 p.m.) to discuss the updated Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation and answer questions.
