The last Forsyth Audubon Young Birders outing before the summer break will be on
Saturday, May 24th at 9:30 a.m. at
Sugar Valley Airport, which is located at 249 Gilbert Road in Mocksville, NC. Here is a link to the website:

This small airstrip is surrounded by great birding habitat, including a pond, open areas, woods, and a backwater area where Wood Ducks have been seen. Prothonotary Warblers have been known to nest near the water, and it is not unusual to see Bald Eagles.
We suggest closed-toe shoes, snacks and beverages. Sunscreen and / or other sun protection strategies are a good idea. Bring binoculars if you have them. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Although we gear the walks to the younger set, folks of all ages are welcome to attend.
We hope to see you in this special place on Saturday, May 24th!
